Christopher Allen McBride was born on July 14,1960, to Doris and Randel McBride in the city of Muskogee.

Chris attended Muskogee Public Schools, where he graduated in the Class of 1978. Shortly after his completion of high school, he enlisted into the United States Army. Chris was awarded several commendations (Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon) while serving in the United States Army. He faithfully served his country and was Honorably Discharged in May of 1985.

Chris had a heart of gold and was loved and cherished by many. There wasn't anyone who didn't know him.

Mr. Christopher A. "Chris" McBride, in his 62nd year, "dozed into eternal slumber" on Sunday morning, January 1, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by, his loving wife Shermita Mills McBride; his mother and father, Doris and Randel McBride; his two sisters, Rolanda McBride and Thelma McBride; and one grandson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Shonda Jackson (Muskogee) and Shanae McBride (Oklahoma City); one sister, Lydia McBride; his grandchildren, Anisa Love, Tryston Johnson, and Jae'la Payne; his significant other, Deborah McJunkins along with a host of cousins, extended relatives, and friends.

You may visit Chris as he slumbers in peaceful repose in the People's Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Muskogee on Sunday, between the hours of 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM and on Monday, beginning at 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM.

The funeral procession to Fort Gibson National Cemetery will leave the funeral home on Monday at 1:45 PM  and the Graveside Ceremony will begin at 2:30 PM.

Military Honors for Mr. McBride will be rendered at the conclusion of the ceremony.
