Christopher Alan Coleman made his grand appearance on this Earth on September 27, 1981 to Edith Joann and Willie Ervin "Sugarman" Coleman in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the youngest child born to this marital union. While spending a summer vacation at the home of his "Granny & Paw Paw," Chris was baptized at a very young age, joining Shiloh Baptist Church in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
"Sugarman," seeing that Chris was such an adventurous and rambunctious youth, made sure his son channeled all of his energy into many little league sports. "Sugarman" eagerly coached many of the little league teams himself so his son could continue to be involved in sports.
Chris is a proud pupil of the Millwood Public School System, culminating with his graduation with the Millwood Falcon's prestigious Class of 2000. While attending Millwood, he participated on the baseball and football teams, proudly sporting the number "77" on his jersey.
Like his father, Chris enjoyed many "cross-country" family vacations. With his two big sisters, Stephanie and Mia, Chris had a great time exploring and investigating many objects on these family outings. Stephanie might argue that she had to always "take care of their bad butts." Chris enjoyed spending time with his two girls, Serenity and Diamond, the sparkle in his eyes.
Christopher joined his Heavenly and earthly Fathers on March 20, 2008. He will be remembered by his Mom, Edith Joann of the home, tow daughters, Serenity Michelle and Diamond Nevaeh, both of Oklahoma City, sisters: Stephanie Danielle, Mia Yvette, Joyce Denise, all of Oklahoma City, brothers: Brent and Richie "Red," Marietta, OK., maternal grandmother Grace Valentine Combs, of Holdenville, OK. He will also be missed by his nieces, Jaelyn, Amaiya, Cheyenne, Taylor, Ryan, Brentney, Niya and nephew Chauncey. Chris will always be in the hearts of his closest cousins, Mark Combs and the Wallace kids, T'Aire, Timothy, Trevor and T'Quan, and a hosts of aunts, uncles, and many dear, dear friends.
Services for Mr. Coleman will be Saturday March 29, 2008 at 11:30AM at Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Visitation for Chris will be Friday from 12Noon to 6PM at McKay-Davis Mortuary in Oklahoma City.
