Christopher "PD" Lamont Gaines was born December 25, 1982 to his proud parents Lisa Gaines and Mark McClellan in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He was the only child born to this union.

Christopher was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses at an early age.  He attended Tulsa Public Schools for his education and graduated from Will Rogers High School with The Class of 2000.  Upon graduation, Chris attended Langston University.  While attended Langston, he played football, and majored in Sociology.

Known to family and friends as "The Gentle Giant", Christopher worked for 15 years as a Correctional Officer for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.  At the time of his untimely passing, he was an employee of the Tulsa Juvenile Detention Center.

Christopher lived his life to the fullest.  His mission was the always be available to help family and friends, along with others he came in contact with.  He wanted people that he helped to live a better life.

He is preceded in death by his father Mark McClellan, Grandmother Brenda Gaines, Great-Grandparents Joe and Lorene Brown.  Christopher The Gentle Giant leaves to cherish his memory here in the Earthly Realm his mother Lisa Gaines, Brothers: Gerald, Carlos, Stavonne, Ricky, Brandon and Bryant, Sisters: Charmaine, Imari, and Victoria, his Aunt Lois "Boobie" Matthews, Grandparents: Lawrence and Erma Gaines, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

A Graveside Service of Memory is planned for Thursday November 12, 2020 at 1PM at Crown Hill Cemetery in Tulsa.

Friends may view Mr. Gaines on Wednesday from 1PM until 6PM in The Tulsa Chapel.
