Clarence Eugene Borens was born to L.D. Borens and Lillian Jo Borens on July 10, 1947 in Clarksville, Oklahoma. He attended school in Clarksville, Oklahoma and graduated with honors from Tullahasse High School in 1964. He was named the most studious in his class. Clarence loved to read and write, he kept records of everything. He loved cars, working outside and traveling. He would carry his family on many trips, and he was an amazing cook with his specialty being chicken and dumplings.
After graduating he later met and married Phylistine Crump in November 1968. They raised six children during Fifty One years of marriage. Clarence gave his life to Christ in 1973 under the leadership of Pastor John Anderson at Christ Gospel Church. He loved studying and sharing the word of God. Clarence provided for his family by working at Dover Norris, Broder Steel, and various other jobs.
Mr. Borens was called home on December 8, 2019. Those left to cherish his memories: his precious wife Phylistine Borens, five children, Loretta Walker (Ryder), Delora Crump, Eugenia Borens, Christi Borens, and Vincent Borens all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding him in death was his father L.D. Borens, mother Lillian Borens, brother Alfonso Borens, sister Norma Jean Walker, and daughter Francis Draper.
Services for Mr. Borens will be Saturday December 14, 2019 at 10AM at Faith Temple Family Church located at 2708 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd in Tulsa. Friends may visit Mr. Borens on Friday from 1PM until 6PM inside The Tulsa Chapel.
