Obituary

Brother Clarence A. Hall, Founder and Minister of Eastside Church of Christ of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, November 17, 2014 from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Brother Clarence Allen Hall was born on March 4, 1934 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Thaddeus and Icey [Johnson] Hall. He was the fourth of five children in the family.

Clarence attended Okmulgee Public Schools and graduated from the Historic Dunbar High School. After High School, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Fort Bliss, Texas. Later, he also served a tour of duty in Germany.

After returning to the United States, he married the love of his life, the former Velma Wilson and together, they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. He finished his education at Pikes Peak Community College and Colorado College.

Brother Hall loved the Gospel of Christ. He was affiliated with the Prospect Street Church of Christ and then Lakeside Church of Christ in Colorado Springs for over 30 years. Since his retirement from the Civil Engineering Department at the United States Air Force Academy, he has given Evangelistic lectures in Kansas, Arizona, Texas and Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Linda Kay, two brothers and two sisters.

He leaves to lament his death; his loving wife, Velma Hall, of the home in Okmulgee; his son, Thaddeus Hall and wife, Julie, Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren, Thaddeus Isaiah, Josiah Addison, Kaylin Grace and Jeremiah Julian; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends as well as Church family.

The Sacred Farewell will be shared on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Church of Christ, 318 South Grand Avenue in Okmulgee. Brother Rufus Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Okmulgee.

You may visit Brother Hall, as he slumbers in peaceful repose on Monday from 12 Noon until 6:00 PM at the funeral home in Okmulgee.
