Obituary

On the twenty-second day of January, in the year of our Lord, 1941, a beautiful baby boy was born to William and Paralee Brady Marshall in Wagoner, Oklahoma. They named him Clarence Eugene Marshall. He was the sixth of eight children born to this union. Mr. Marshall was better known to family and friends as "Wee Baby."

During his early school years, he attended Mulvally School and graduated from Carter G. Woodson High School in Tullahassee, Oklahoma. He accepted Christ at Rayfield Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Reverend J. L. Strawther. He later became a member and helped to organize Evangelist Temple Baptist Church.

Clarence was best known for his plumbing skills, but he really enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing cards and domino's. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Marshall will be remember for his outgoing and witty personality. He never met a stranger and got along with everyone easily.

Clarence Eugene Marshall, after 66 seasons, found the perfect fishing spot, in "Paradise." He was preceded in death by his mother and father, along with six aunts.

He leaves to lament his passing; three sons, Terrence [Gail] Marshall, Dallas, Texas, Tracy Marshall, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Tony Marshall, Wichita, Kansas; a daughter, Glenda [Charles] Mayfield, Muskogee, Oklahoma; a granddaughter, LaDarra Brown, Muskogee, Oklahoma; two brothers, Alfred Barnett, Tulsa, Oklahoma and William Marshall, Jr., Wichita, Kansas; six sisters, Olivia Marshall, Syzyline Marshall, Mildred Graham, Bertha [Johnny] Harlin, Julie [Aaron] Lewis, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Annie [W.E.] McIntosh, Wichita, Kansas; one uncle, Robert Brady, Jr.; his friends, Ira Lee Love, Willie Granger, and Cloyce White; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The final hour with "Wee Baby" will be on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Evangelist Temple Baptist Church. Reverend Richard Brooks, Pastor will officiate and Bishop George Palmer will give the Eulogy.

Burial will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.

You may visit "Wee Baby" as he slumbers at the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM.
