IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Claude Williams,
Sr.
March 3, 1948 – August 10, 2022
"Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear."
On March 3, 1948, a baby boy was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to the loving union of Robert "R.C." Charles, Sr., and Philla Mae (Pete) Williams. They named him Claud D. Williams. Claud attended Okmulgee Public Schools where he graduated from Dunbar High School with the class of 1967.
After school, Claude enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably. He later relocated to Detroit, Michigan, to work at Beechcraft Airport. Claud later relocated back to Okmulgee, Oklahoma, where he started a career at Ball Brothers Glass Company. Unfortunately, Ball Brothers closed down and Claud went on to drive school buses in
Okmulgee. He also drove cabs for Bigelow Cab Service until he decided to start his own lawn service.
Claud accepted Christ into his life and heart at a young age. He was an active member at Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he was in the Brotherhood.
On Wednesday, August 10, 2022, Mr. Claud Williams found peace with our Heavenly Father from Franciscan Villa in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Claud was preceded in death by his parents, Robert "R.C." Charles, Sr., and Philla Mae (Pete) Williams, as well as five sisters and three brothers.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Margaret Williams; biological children, Markus Williams of Kansas, and Claud, Jr., and Chiku Williams of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; step-children, Chancey (Tiffany) Boyd of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Demotte Boyd, Angela Hicks, and Latonia Hicks, all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; brother, Robert Charles Williams, Jr.; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; Claud and Margaret Williams shared 17 grandchildren and 11 greatg-randchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
