Reflections of Her Life

Cleo "Jackie" Walker

On July 21, 1926, a baby girl was born to Helen Juanita and Clifford Warford. They chose to name their only child Cleo Clinton. Cleo and her mother lived in Alsuma for a number of years. "Jackie" as she was so fondly called, attended Alsuma and Tulsa Public Schools. Early in her life, Cleo accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Being an only child, Cleo thought it a blessing to have 11 children. She was a blessing to the lives she touched. Affectionately known as "Grandma," she left footprints on each and every one of her grandchildrens lives. In her earlier days, she was also given the nickname "Mule." She lived up to that name because she was so stubborn in her love for her family and friends. Never have we seen the Agape Love of God work through someone as it did our "Jackie." Broken and battered souls were drawn to the God in her. Mrs. Walker extended an abundance of love to everyone she knew.

On October 28, 2011, Cleo Clinton Walker, gently closed her eyes, and finished her race. May the family and friends be comforted to know, although she is absent in the body, she is now rejoicing with the Lord, where all of her days are now happy, and peaceful days. Waiting to welcome her homecoming, her husband, Joe Nathan, three daughters: Donna Kay, Patricia Ann, and Gayle Marie, two sons: Robert Lewis, and Albert, Jr. Her journey Home to the Lord will be cherished by the loved ones she left behind. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children: Tyree C., Judia A., Christopher N., Diane D., Ricky J., and Angela L., and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
Psalms 23:6
