Ms. Cleo Darlene Cowans, in her 77th season of life, left for her Heavenly Home on Tuesday morning, September 1, 2020 from Arlington, Texas.
On Tuesday, September 1, 2020, Cleo Darlene Cowans made her transition to eternity from Arlington, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Lee and Essie Mae (Bledsoe) Cowans, two brothers, Robert Love and Earl Ray Cowans, two sisters, Beverly Love and Wendell Cowans.
Cleo was born May 27, 1943, in Schulter, Oklahoma. She attended elementary, Dunbar High School, and nursing school in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Cleo was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Room Department for 25 + years. Cleo was a member of Cleaves Memorial Church in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Cleo leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Rhonda Stewart and husband Emmanuel of Arlington, Texas, and son, Ron-El Miles of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Tor-Rel Miles of Tulsa, Oklahoma and DaVion Dickerson of Glenpool, Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Sarah Kay McCoy and great grandson Chance Ramon; her brothers, Clay Cowans (Charlotte), of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Joe Harold Cowans, of Columbus, South Carolina, Larry Love (Claudetta), of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and Otis Love (Joyce) of Spencer, Oklahoma; her sisters, Romana Bush and Sharon LittleJohn, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Ola Mae Love of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.
You may visit Ms. Cowans, as she slumbers in peaceful repose at the funeral home in Okmulgee on Friday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM
Her burial will be private, family only.
