IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clinton
Thomas
December 7, 1982 – September 7, 2021
Clinton A. Thomas was born on December 7, 1982, to Henry B. Thomas and Mary Frances Thomas Bayolo in Holly Springs, MS. Clinton was a lover of life and never really met a stranger. Clint started life just as he ended his life. He came into the world quicker than expected, by being born in the car on the way to the hospital and by departing this earth all of a sudden at his appointed time.
He impacted so many lives and everyone he ever met probably has a story to tell of something that happened when they knew him. He attended school in Ripley, MS from kindergarten through high school, home of the Ripley Tigers football team, from junior high through high school. He then attended Northeast Community College, later transferring to East Central Community College. From ECCC, Clint transferred to Bacone College here in Oklahoma. He was picked up by Oklahoma Thunder to play on the semi-pro team, which won several championship rings. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Oklahoma Thunder in 2018.
Clint also worked with juveniles, and that was something he was proud of, even bringing his nephews and other young men into his home to help them with football and life skills. He touched many lives while working at Muskogee Swim and Fitness and teaching "Boot Camp" at LifePoint Church. Clint was a lover of sports and was a basketball and softball coach for Aniyah and Aspen and also a "pageant daddy" for Alayna. His goal was to one day own and operate his own gym. Clint met the love of his life, Samantha F. Lawson, in 2009; she became his wife in 2019.
He leaves to cherish his memory,: his wife, Samantha; five children, Aniyah Thomas, Aspen Thomas, Alayna Thomas, Araya Thomas, and Clinton Apollo Thomas; sisters, Rachel (Shafers) Crum, Racquel (Josh) Jones, Rosalind Prather, and Rebekah Riddle, all of Ripley, MS; his stepfather, Jorge Bayolo of Ripley, MS; and 13 nieces and nephews who loved him just as much as he loved them, Riesha Crum, Demario Prather, Sharaadrick Cram, Rosticia Johnson, Recountess Adams, Kadarius Jones, Bryson Prather, Ashanti Jones, BJ Riddle, Derwin Jones, Dreyden Johnson, Demanen Johnson, and Braeya Riddle.
Clint was preceded in death by his father, Henry B. Thomas; his mother, Mary Frances Thomas Bayolo; brother, Corey Prather; and his grandmother, Lizzie Vee Boyd.
Mr. Clinton Thomas, in his 38th year, surrendered his soul on Tuesday morning, September 7, 2021 from Wagoner, Oklahoma.
