Mr. Clinton Kid Wilson, in his 85th year, made his transition from Earth to Glory on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from Muskogee, Oklahoma
Clinton Wilson was born April 8, 1929 in Beggs, Oklahoma. He was the first child of eight children born to Lester and Christena (Nash) Wilson. Clinton accepted Christ at the age of 12 at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Preston, OK. Clinton completed his education at Wheatly High School in Beggs, OK.
Clinton was called to the Army in 1950. He was honorably discharged in 1957. Clinton attended school at Metro Tech in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, where he obtained his Automobile Mechanic License and built an Automobile Repair Shop and started his business repairing Automobiles in Bald Hill located in Okmulgee, OK County on the family farm.
When Clinton left Jerusalem Baptist Church, he joined Harris Chapel Baptist Church in Bald Hill, Oklahoma. Soon after he left Harris Chapel Baptist Church, he joined Northwest Baptist Church in the year of 1995 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Clinton once served as a Sunday School Superintendent and a Teacher. Clinton also served over the Prayer Meetings. Also, he was a Deacon of the Church. Clinton love speaking the Words of the Holy Bible. Clinton was a faithful member until he had a stroke November 12, 2014.
Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, twins Charles and Richard Wilson, twin Fredrick D. Wilson Sr., Lester Wilson Jr. and two sisters, twin Caster Wilson, and Erannie M. (Wilson) Bowers.
Clinton leaves to cherish his memories: One daughter Eunice D. Hawkins (Charles), One grandson Juan Hawkins of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, One sister, Joyce V. (Wilson) Taylor, two Sister-in-laws, Barbara Wilson, and Beatha Wilson all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and a host of relatives and friends.
The Final Salute will be on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the Northwest Chapel Baptist Church. Reverend Leroy Crawford, Sr., Pastor, will Preside. Burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
