Mr. Clyde E. Fields, Jr., after 73 years, surrendered his soul on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.
It all began on November 27, 1941, when a loving, baby boy was born from the union of Rubye and Clyde Fields in Taft, Oklahoma. They named him Clyde, Jr., and was affectionately known to all as "Swift."
He was raised and educated in Taft, Oklahoma, where he attended the Moton Public Schools. He graduated with the Class of 1961. "Swift" then continued his education at Langston University, before he was drafted into the United States Army. He served his country honorably for two years, spending part of his tour in Greenland.
Clyde was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved basketball and was known as "Swift" on the courts. He also had a love for his dogs, riding his motorcycle and cooking exotic dishes. He worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas Company for over 40 years before retiring. The memories of "Swift" will always be dear to the hearts of his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita, his parents, Clyde, Sr., and Rubye Fields and his grandparents.
Those that wait on the Lord; his four children, Clyde III, Nikkie, Tina and husband Josephus and Derrick; his grandson, Brett; his granddaughter, Hosina; four great-grandchildren, Layla, Savoy, Brett Jr., and Brayden Fields; 7 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
