Mr. Connie W. Ennis, in his 64th year, transitioned from Earth to Everlasting Memory on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from his home in Oklahoma City.
On September 10 in the year of 1956, in Muskogee, OK, a baby boy was born to Maxine Georgia (Warrior) Ennis and Ewell Ennis, Jr.; they named
him Connie Waylan Ennis.
Connie attended school at Muskogee High School, where he excelled imany subjects. He later attended Northeastern State University. While at
Northeastern State University, he was active on campus, later joining the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and receiving the honor to be the President
of the chapter. After several years at NSU Connie later transferred to Central State University, and joined the Zeta Sigma Chapter in Edmond.
Connie's biggest accomplishment was bringing a baby girl into this world, Brooke Ennis, which he loved dearly. Later in life Connie was employed
with the Federal Aviation Administration/United States Government and also as a Contractor. Connie was a Godly man and was glad to call his church home St. Mark Baptist Church.
Connie is preceded in death by his parents, Maxine and Ewell Ennis, Jr., as well his Brother Stanley Gross.
Connie leaves to cherish his memory; Siblings, Brother Jonathan Ennis (Beverly), Sister Donna Ennis, Sister Ewelene Smith (Rushawn), Sister Christa Ennis, Brother Ewell Ennis (Yvette), Brother Jimmy Warrior (Yashica), Sister Carolyn Gross. Nieces and Nephews; Marques Boykins, Lakeiya
Ennis, Jimecca Warrior, Joi Peters, Kieran Boykins, Brandon Smith, Cieara Ennis, Orion Ennis, Tayla Ennis. Gary Warrior, last living Uncle, Maxine G. Ennis brother. Nieces Alliya and Alisha Russell and their Uncle, Siee Russell and a host of friends.
The Hour of Remembrance for Mr. Ennis will commence on Tuesday morning, July 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the St. Mark Baptist Church. The Pastor, Reverend Rodger LB Cutler will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Warrior Cemetery, west of Checotah, Oklahoma.
You may visit Brother Ennis, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the funeral home on Monday, from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM in Muskogee.
