On October 20, 1970, a precious son was born to James Franklin, Jr., and Janice L. Smith in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Corey was a beautiful person. He loved to fish, travel and cook "everything." He also enjoyed spending time with his family and he lived life to the fullest, every single minute.
He was always having fun, making jokes, acting crazy, and you can't forget that amazing smile. Corey joined Church at a very early age and gave his life to God at Bibleway Church of God in Christ.
He spent time living in Dallas, Texas, where he met and married Evetta Jeanetta Bailey. They were united in marriage on April 29, 2001. Their union produced seven children.
Corey worked a variety of jobs until he began his career at P. F. Chang's China Bistro 12 years ago. He worked his way from a cook to culinary partner with plenty of support and love from co-workers, other employees and family.
