Ms. Dale Chappelle Allison, a resident of Taft, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 29, 2007.
Born in Muskogee on September 6, 1948, she later moved to Los Angeles, California, where she graduated high school. While in California, she pursued a career in singing and she was blessed with a son, Nicholas Robinson.
Dale met and later married Michael Allison in 1968. This marriage was later dissolved. She returned to live in Oklahoma in 1985, where she furthered her education at Connors State College and Northeastern State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Sister Dale worked for the Turnpike Authority on the Muskogee Turnpike and also at the Board of Education, as well as a Mary Kay Consultant.
Ms. Allison began studying with witnesses in 1990, and was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness. She worked diligently as a messenger for Jehovah, finding so much happiness in teaching and education about Jehovah.
She leaves behind; her son, Nicholas Robinson; her mother, Lavada Chappell; her grandchildren, Adrian Gaines, Nikkira Barnes, Kobe and Nyia Green; two great-grandchildren; her sisters, Marsha Williams, Melba Hall, Alice Hicks, Karen Stephens and Shirley Grayson; her aunts, Lois Daniels, Doris Williams, Veta Mae Phelps and Yvonne Williams; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The service of memory for Ms. Allison will be on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Muskogee. Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee. You may visit Ms. Allison, as she slumbers at the funeral home in Muskogee on Tuesday from 12 Noon to 6 PM.
