Mr. Dale F.Shotwell, after 62 years, passed from this life on Monday, August 31, 2009 from Muskogee Regional Medical Center.

Dale was born in Sussex, New Jersey on July 16, 1947, the son of Fredrick Whitmore and Dorothy Shotwell.

He grew up in New Jersey and attended school at Wantage Township.

Mr. Shotwell moved to Muskogee in 1976. He was a loyal and faithful employee of UNARCO Industries for 18 years, where he was a supervisor.

Dale enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, his brothers, Daniel Henderson and Larry Henderson; and a nephew, Reubin Drew.

He leaves behind to remember him; his brothers, Steven Henderson, Sr., Coffeyville, Kansas and Roger[Teresa] Henderson, Baraboo, Wisconsin; his sisters, Linda Porter and Darlene Drew, both of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Patricia Andrews, Neport, Pennsylvania; along with other relatives, friends and co-workers from Unarco Industries.

The final farewell will be on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in Abiding Faith Fellowship, 1407 Callahan in Muskogee. The Pastor, Dr. Denver Callahan will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee.

You may visit Mr. Shotwell, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the funeral home in Muskogee on Thursday from 10 AM to 6 PM and on Friday from 9 AM until 11 AM.

Casket bearers will be Steven Henderson, Jr., Ray Jenkins, Ben Griego, Donnie McClellan, Darren Murrell and Matthew Jenkins. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Ed Younce and co-workers from UNARCO Industries.
