Rev. Daniel Jones was born January 3, 1926 to the union of Clarence and Susie Jones in Idabel, Oklahoma. Daniel accepted Christ at an early age and attended Idabel Public Schools.

Rev. Daniel Jones proudly served in the United States Army and received a medical discharge. Soon thereafter, Daniel met and was taken back by the lovely Zettie Norton, and took her hand in marriage. This union was blessed with three children.

Rev. Jones received his calling in the ministry in 1955 under the leadership of Rev. George Houston of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, OK. Rev. Jones then matriculated to Wagoner County where he served as pastor for various churches which included Four Mile Branch in Fort Gibson, OK and then united with Union Baptist Church in Wagoner, OK where he served as associated pastor until his passing.

His parents, and one son as an infant preceded Rev. Jones in death. Remaining to celebrate the life of Rev. Daniel Jones is his loving wife of 61 years, Zettie Jones, one son Lonnie and Tina Jones of Kansas City, MO, one daughter Ruth and Tolbert Routt, Fontana, CA, seven grandchildren, Marvin Brown, Lonnie Jones, JR, Gina Brown, Monique Jones, Felicia Jones, Skylar Jones, and Akayla Jones, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Services are Saturday, August 13, 2005 at Union Baptist Church in Wagoner, OK
