Obituary

As the sun rose one morning, it was a blessed day for William Robert Morrison and Sylvia Marylin Hill-Morrison, when the heavens smiled and God blessed them with a baby daughter they named Danita Gwendolyn Banks.
Danita Banks was born May 4, 1957 in Topeka Kansas. She received Christ and was baptized at an early age. She was a friend to everyone one who came in contact with her. Danita was a loving person with a kind heart and soul. She was also a dedicated worker and completed any task she put her mind to. The example she lived day by day will be a goal for her family to strive and reach.
She completed High School in 1974 from Booker T. Washington. On May 14, 2009 she graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Langston University of Tulsa. She worked at Hillcrest Medical Center as an Accounts Payable Clerk and an Environmental Services Tech Supervisor.
On Wednesday morning, April 29, 2015 at 6:57am, the angel of silence came on a mission from God, as the sun set in her life, she closed her eyes and found peace with her master.
Those who preceded in death are her parents William Robert Morrison and Sylvia Marylin Hill-Morrison and brother Kevin Morrison. Those of us who are left to cherish her precious memories are her son Mario LaJuan (Tameka) and daughter Kendra Dionne (Delvin); seven grandchildren Erika, Darmajzae, LaKia, LaKoria, Mario II, Mari'A and Chance.
Danita also leaves to cherish her memory are the following: one sister Toi Franklin and one brother Maurice "Chuckie" Morrison; Nieces Tamara, Shamauria and Shannon; nephew Tamon and one great nephew Jordan; two aunts Jane Malone and Anita Pouncil and her best friend since 5th grade Rita Burkes.

Her services will be held at 11am Saturday May 9, 2015 at the Paradise Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 12pm-7pm on Friday May 8, 2015 at our Tulsa Chapel.
