IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Darrell Wayne
Dean
August 19, 1982 – September 30, 2020
" Hello World "
On August 19, 1982, a baby boy was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Edna Dean Kennedy and Glen Wayne Todd.
Darrell accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He united with the Greater Jones AME Zion Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Lyons Manuel. He later moved his membership to St. Mary's Christian Center, now known as Love international Christian Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Terry Wilson.
Darrell was educated through the Okmulgee Public School system and graduated from Okmulgee High School with the Class of 2001. Darrell took on the role of Dad to Keaton Murphy. Darrell truly loved the Lord and his church family. He always greeted you with a big smile, even in his darkest days. He loved to play dominoes but his biggest enjoyment was being with his family. He never met a stranger and loved to eat.
On September 30, 2020, God call Darrell home. He was met at Heaven's gate by his grandparents, Raymond Sr., and Hettie Dean, Reverend Oather and Erma Todd and his cousin, Jarrel Dean.
He leaves on earth to cherish his life; his loving mother, Edna Dean Kennedy; his father, Glen Todd, Sr.; his brothers, Wade Kennedy, Jr., Brandon, Camron, Trey and Glen Todd, Jr., all of Okmulgee; his sisters, LaShawna Kennedy, Stephanie Crawford, and Nina Todd, all of Okmulgee; his uncles, Raymond Dean, Jr. [Theresa], Ronald Dean [Mary], and Michael Dean [LaVesha], all of Okmulgee; his aunts, Loretta Dean, Redlands, California, Roberta Rice, Tulsa, Oklahoma and LaShawn Dean, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; and a caravan of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Service of Memory for Mr. Dean will commence on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 12:00 Noon in the First Baptist Church, 5th & Seminole Streets in Okmulgee. Pastor Harold White will officiate and Pastor Terry Wilson will bring the Eulogy.
Burial will follow in the Northwest Cemetery in Okmulgee.
