Mr. Darren Lamar Harris, after 46 years with us, passed from this life on Saturday, July 1, 2017.

On June 19, 1971 a handsome baby boy, Darren L. Harris, was born to Nancy Harris and Leroy Harris in Tulsa, OK. He was the youngest of four children, affectionately called "Lil D" by his family and friends. Darren accepted Christ at an early age. He received his education from the Tulsa Public School District. He was employed at Western Specialty Contractors where, he was a valued employee until his early departure from this earth.

Darren had a sense of humor and possessed an outgoing spirit. He had an infectious smile that would lighten up any room he entered. He also had a knack for telling you just how it was and still loved you in the same sentence.
Darren enjoyed family gatherings, taking pictures of his loved ones, BBQ's, special occasions and holidays. He had a passion for traveling, listening to old school music and most of all being with his family.

He was loving, caring and spontaneous with a great heart.

Darren was preceded in death by his Father, Leroy Harris, Sister Kimberly Harris and his Grandparents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory and take joy in the ray of sunshine he brought to our lives with that slanted smile and infectious laugh include his fiance Shannon Johnson and Little Marquay Johnson of Tulsa, OK; his Mother Nancy Harris, Irving, TX; Brother Leroy (Pamela) Harris of Tulsa, OK; three sisters Charlene (Albert) Henley of Irving, TX; Tammeka (Azim) Adams of Denver, CO; Robbin Ealey; Special friends, Orlando "Boogie" Reed and Sean Seaborough as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.


Services for Mr. Darren Lamar Harris will be Friday July 14, 2017 at 11AM at Going Hard For Christ Church in Tulsa.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2PM until 7PM in Tulsa.
