David Earl Brown was born to Mable Shoulders Brown and Earl L. Brown on January 30, 1951, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He attended Dunbar High School in Okmulgee, Class of 1969, where he played football and basketball for the Dunbar Tigers.

David enlisted into the United States Navy on December 4, 1969. He was stationed on the USS Donner (LSD-20) in Corpus Christi, Texas. He received a National Defense Service Medal while serving his country. He was Honorably Discharged on November 20, 1970.

Mr. David Earl Brown, in his 71st season of life, departed this life on Thursday afternoon, October 20, 2022 from Muskogee, Oklahoma

He was preceded in death by his parents; and six sisters, Joy Lynn Brown, Berna Jean Washington, Ruth E. Williams,
Darleen Scott, Eunice Littlejohn Cato, and Carolyn A. Wilson.

He leaves to witness his homegoing: one brother, Edward R. Brown of Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters, De Lois Mitchell
of Louisville, KY, and Anita K. Bagby of Okmulgee, OK; three children, two sons, David D. Wilson and Michael J. Brown of Oklahoma City, OK, and one daughter, La'Kisha R. Brown of Blythewood, SC; five grandchildren, four great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and numerous friends and acquaintances.

Service of Memory for David will commence on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Eleventh Hour in The People's Chapel of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc.,-Muskogee.

The Christian Committal will take place immediately following the services in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
