Mr. David Daniels in his 86th Season, transitioned to Eternal Rest, Sunday Morning November 8, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mr. David Daniels, Sr. began his journey when he was born to John and Winnie Roe Daniels. He was the eleventh of twelve children. David spent his early years in Haskell and Simmons Chapel; where along with his eleven sisters and brothers attended school. In 1951, David was drafted into the Army; and he finished two years later.
David met and married Cathey Jones, to this union three children were born. They joined St. Andrews Baptist Church where he attended until his health began to fail.
He worked for Hillcrest Hospital for Thirty years and Tulsa Public Schools for Forty years.
On November 8, 2015 David's journey came to an end, and the Book of Life was open. God called his son home to Eternal Rest. His wife Cathey and daughter Patricia, both his parents, ten of his sisters, and a brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Daniels leaves to cherish his memories; one brother Richard (Alice) Daniels of Portland, Oregon, one beautiful daughter Donna (Darnell) Parker, son David (Karen) Daniels, Jr. and son John Jennings. Five grandchildren; Darnell Jr, Dionte', Daniel, Brandon, Tiffiany (Marc) Minor, and five great grandchildren. Two nieces Elice Louise, Willa M. Holmes and host of relatives and friends.
You may visit with Mr. Daniels as he slumbers in the Tulsa Chapel on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 beginning at High Noon until Seven pm.
Services for Mr. Daniels will be held on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at the Eleventh hour in the prestige halls of East Virgin Street Church of Christ.
