Mr. David S. Miller, in his 72nd year, left for Glory on June 19, 2006 from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

On October 5, 1933, the Lord blessed Chester and Blanche Miller with a son. They named him DAvid Samuel. This was the third son born to this union.

David attended Boynton Public Schools and after finishing school, he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Upon meeting Betty Harris, he joined the Shiloh Baptist Church. The were later married by the late Rev. H. D. Morris, the very first couple to be married at the newly organized Shiloh Baptist Church. As active members of Shiloh, David and Betty contributed their service together to the church community for over 50 years.

David spent his life providing for his family at the Big Four Foundry. He also worked as a veterinary assistant at the North Peoria animal hospital. His dedication and love allowed him to enjoy his family, friends and church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and animals of all kinds. He was better known as "Bub" to family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of 50 years, Betty Miller; a son, Charles & Linda Love; 4 daughters, Debra & Ronnie Allen, Yvette & Dwight Williams, Paula Miller and Lydia & Melvin Miller; a sister, Zelma Lowe; a brother, Rev. Hosie & Mary Miller; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The tribute will be on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in Greater Shiloh Baptist Church of Tulsa. Burial will follow in Doyle Cemetery at Yahola, Oklahoma, west of Taft.

Visitation will be on Monday from 12 Noon until 7 PM at the funeral home in Tulsa.
