David Edward Reagor was born on July 13, 1945 in Morris, Oklahoma, the son of Sidney Lawrence and Bertha [Lane] Reagor, Sr.
Mr. Reagor attended school at Grayson, Oklahoma where he graduated from Grayson High School. He furthered his education at Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee, where he earned an Associates Degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
Mr. Reagor served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict from July of 1967 until July of 1969.
After his service to his country, he worked for over 38 years for Sears and Roebuck as a Service Technician.
While still yet at an impressionable age, he was baptized at Long Tree Baptist Church east of Morris, Oklahoma. Later in life, he united with the Northwest Baptist Church in Okmulgee. He was ordained as a Deacon in 2003, faithfully.serving in many capacities which includes Chairman of the Deacon Board, from 2003 until 2019, President of the Choir, President of the Northwest Brotherhood and Director of Transportation. He served the Lord faithfully until his death.
Deacon Reagor and his Pastor shared many special times, talking about friendship, daily calls, visits, meals, coffee, Church, school, Rodeo, our community and family. He was very active during his lifetime and enjoyed being a lifelong Rodeo Cowboy, where he enjoyed roping, riding horses, fishing, coon hunting and he loved to bless people with his voice of song. He lived for his family, enjoying all family and friends.
Deacon David Edward Reagor, in his 73rd year of life, found sweet rest with the Lord, from "Labor to Refreshment" on Saturday afternoon, April 13, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Bertha Reagor, Sr., and his siblings, Erma Greer, Leona Holmes and Sidney Reagor, Jr.
He leaves in God's care to cherish his wonderful memory; his loving wife, Gina Reagor, of the home; his son, Dwayne Reagor, Dallas, Texas; his daughters, Cecilia Reagor, Morris, Oklahoma, Tandrea "Joy" [Kris] Jackson Reagor, Houston, Texas and Alayna [Ronnie Fields] Reagor, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Eleven Grandchildren; Six Great-Grandchildren; his siblings, Pearl [Lavell] Younger, San Leandro, California, Louise [Paul] Downing, Glenpool, Oklahoma, James [Sheena] Reagor, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and John [Shirley] Reagor, Ardmore, Oklahoma; his Sister-in-law, Shirley Reagor, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his nephew, Billy [Brinder] Reagor, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; along with a caravan of other relatives and many friends.
The Final Hour with Deacon Reagor will be on Saturday morning, April 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Preston High School Gymnasium. Burial will follow in the Reagor Family Cemetery near Morris, Oklahoma.
You may visit him, as he slumbers in peaceful repose on Friday from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home in Okmulgee.
