On August 17, 1960, a son was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma from the loving union of James Edward Wilson, Sr., and Estella [Drew] Wilson. He was named David Earl Wilson and was the ninth of twelve children from this union.

David, a lifelong resident of Okmulgee, attended Okmulgee Public schools, where he graduated from Okmulgee Senior High School with the Class of 1979. He also served in the National Guard for ten years. David was active in wrestling and football in school.

Mr. Wilson was a member of Northern Light Tabernacle in Okmulgee and was a long time employee of Big Four Foundry and the Flanagan Iron Work Company.

David was united in Holy Matrimony with Lisa Vaught in 1983 and their union produced three children.

After blessing us for Forty-five years, David made the transition from this life to life eternal from St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James E. Wilson, Jr., Raymond E. Wilson and Larry D. Wilson.

He leaves in God's care; his wife, Lisa, of the home in Mounds, Oklahoma; three children, Tinesha R. and husband Ken Duncan, David E. Wilson, Jr., and wife Sarah and Rea A. Wilson; his grandchildren, Dakota Duncan and Trey David Wilson; his siblings, Bernard and Bette Wilson, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Clifford L. Wilson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ronnie L. Wilson, Okmulgee, Joyce M. Wilson, Cheryl Lynn Wilson and Henry, Carol J. Wilson and Jackie E. Wilson, Charlene Wilson, Richard Talton, all of Okmulgee, Cynthia and Ronald Jackson, Garland, Texas; two aunts, Ruth Nasha and Maxine Parker, Okmulgee; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The Service of Memory for Mr. Wilson will be held on Friday, July 14, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Northern Light Tabernacle, 1103 North Bryan Street. Pastor Verlin Kelley will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
