Daymion Earl Cope was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on September 5, 1982 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center, the son of Bernard J. Chatman and Linda D. [Cope] Chatman.
Daymion grew up in Muskogee, where he attended Muskogee Public Schools, and ultimately graduated from Muskogee High School with the Class of 2002.
He worked numerous jobs during his lifetime and before his illness, was employed at the Bus Plant as a Service Technician in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In April of 2008, he married Talesha, but this union was dissolved a few years later. No Children were born from this union. Later, Daymion and Shade' Brown were blessed with a bundle of joy, Daniell Linda Cope.
Daymion was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer in May of 2016. He fought a courageous battle with this disease. On Monday, December 19,2 016, he passed away surrounded by the love of his family from his home in Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda D. Chatman, his grandfather, Earl Gene Cope, Sr., his grandmother, Vacie Chatman, his great-grandparents, Nathaniel and Addie Mae King and his uncle, Earl Gene Cope, Jr.
He leaves in God's care; his Father, Bernard Chatman; his daughter, Daniell Linda Cope and her mother, Shade' Brown; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Nadine Cope; his siblings, Sharmeka Cope-White, Shardae Cope, Vacie Chatman, Brittany Chatman and Bethany Chatman; along with other relatives and friends.
Services will be Thursday December 29, 2016 at 2:00PM at Spencer Memorial United Methodist Church, 543 North 7th Street in Muskogee.
