Ms. Debra Owens, in her 67th year, "finished her course on earth" on Monday evening, December 26, 2022 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Debra Elaine Owens was born on 07/04/1955 in Muskogee, Ok to Fernando C. Owens Jr. and Anna H. McClain Owens. Debra accepted the Lord at an early age. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of
Muskogee, OK.

She attended school at Dunbar Elementary, Sadler Middle and Manual Training High School.

After completing school, Debra went to work. She worked for Brockway Glass as a laborer, until she retired in
1990 due to her prolong illness. Debra was a very caring and compassionate individual. She always did what
she could to help those in need. She had a magnetic personality, and she was extremely witty.

Debra had two biological children; Detranette (Dee) and Jameel (Meel); however, she was a mother to many.
As a mother, Debra was kind, loving, patient and understanding. She was an avid supporter of her children. She
spent a great deal of time traveling to and from their sporting events. Debra was an exceptional mother. Dee
and Meel could always count on her to be there when they needed her.

On Monday evening December 26, 2022, Debra was called to her eternal rest. Preceding her in death were her
parents and eldest brother; Fernando C. Owens Jr, Anna H McClain-Owens and Fernando C. Owens III.

Debra leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Detranette Gallie of Claremore, OK. Her son Jameel (Jennifer)
Owens of Norman, OK. She had one grandson, Julian Owens who was the apple of her eye. Additional loved
ones included her siblings; Anna Owens-Nicholson of Muskogee, OK, Doris Owens-Boulware of Muskogee, OK,
Eddie (Sharon) Owens of Tulsa, OK, Alice Owens of Muskogee, OK, Reginald Owens of Muskogee, OK and
Ferdinand (Tabitha) Owens of Muskogee, OK. Debra was very loved by her all of family members, especially her
nieces and nephews many of whom she helped to raise.

The Hour of Reflection for Miss Owens will commence on Saturday morning, January 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of Timothy Baptist Church.  Pastor Kelly Payne is the gracious host, and The Reverend Cleo Baccus, Pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee.
