Delois Guess was born on July 10, 1947 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Ozella and A.T. Guess. She grew up and attended Dunbar Elementary School, then attended Manual Training High School.
She accepted Christ at an early age. Later in life, she began working for Ramada Inn in the housekeeping department. Delois loved being with family and working in her puzzle book.
Delois gave birth to four children during her lifetime and will be missed by all who knew her.
After 72 season of life, Delois Guess dozed from Earth to Everlasting on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from her home in Muskogee. She was met in Glory by her parents, Ozella and A. T. Guess, a sister, Mary J. Mayes and four brothers, James Fields, Wayne Jackson, Demetrius Lyday and Rayford Guess.
She leaves in God's care; her four children, Angela [Earnest] Maxwell, Taft, Oklahoma, Andrea Guess, Stacy Guess and Tracy Guess, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a caravan of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind, six sisters, Bertha Barnes, Lenora Lyday, both of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Josie Lyday, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joyce and Rose Guess, both of Lubbock, Texas; two brothers, Elmer Mayes, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Alvin Guess, Lubbock, Texas.
The Service of Memory for Miss Guess will be on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the most holy sanctuary of Christ Kingdom Builders Ministry. Pastor Ron Venters, Sr., is the gracious host and Minister Lonnie Barker, Jr., will give words of comfort.
Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery.
