"Her" Story
On June 12, 2952 a baby girl was born to Ruth and Loly Page in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They named their new bundle of joy Delores Ann. "Dolly Dimple" attended school at Charles S. Johnson Elementary, Carver Junior High, and would go on to graduate from Central High School. She attended Northeastern A&M Junior College and Oklahoma State University. Delores joined Morning Star Baptist Church at an early age and remained faithful. She was a member of the Elizabeth Circle, Mission and Sunday School Class Number Three. She worked a number of years as Head Sales Clerk and Assistant Manager for Homeland, Inc.
Delores Ann was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, and two uncles. Remaining to cherish her precious lifetime of memories: one son, Charles Anthony Chaney, III, Muskogee, OK., one grandson, Jacary Chaney, her mother, Ruth Page, one brother, James E. Page (Helen), two sisters: Evelyn Page, Loleta Guillory, all of Tulsa, OK., four aunts: Naomi Johnson, Cincinnati, OH., Helen Washington, San Francisco, CA., Opal Hicks, and Melba Chaplin, Tulsa, OK., a special friend, Cristella White, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Services for Mrs. Chaney are scheduled for Friday August 27, 2010 at 11AM at Morning Star Baptist Church in Tulsa. Friends may visit her as she peacefully rests inside the All Faiths Chapel on Thursday from 10AM to 7PM.
