Devon LaMar Davis Sr., born February 6, 1995, to Tracci Davis and LaRon Buggs.
Devon will be remembered for his playful spirit, kind heart, fierce loyalty and protective nature — a son, father and brother who loved deeply and gave freely of himself to those around him. A proud and passionate athlete, Devon played football at Union High School where he was an integral part of a program that secured multiple state championships and helped establish the school’s football dynasty. Teammates and coaches remember him as a competitor who elevated those around him — bringing energy, humor and an unshakable commitment to the team.
Devon was a devoted father to Devon Davis Jr. and Olivia Davis.
He was cherished by his mother Tracci Davis and father LaRon Buggs.
Devon was a loving brother to Adar Davis, Adarian Davis, Akile Davis, Ashlynn Buggs, Kameryn Buggs, Lauryn Dennison Buggs, LaRon Buggs, and Aiden Buggs. Devon’s grandparents Ann Davis and Harold Davis Sr. survive him. Aunts (surviving): Camesha Love (Darrell Love), Stephanie Williams, (Great) Debra Trotter, Billie Davis, and Audrey Wharry. Uncles (surviving): Derrick Davis, Harold Davis Jr.,Stephen Buggs, LaMont Buggs, Levi Buggs, (Great) Dexter Walker, Reggie Walker, Edgar Davis, Virgil Davis. Devon leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by great grandparents Barbara Walker, Gene Walker, Otis Davis, Ruby Davis, Opal Newton and Josh Newton, Aunt Pam Walker and Uncle Kirk Walker. Devon’s friends and family will recall his generosity and warmth: always ready with a joke, quick to stand up for others, and unwavering in his love for his family — especially his mother. He delighted in everyday moments with his children and found joy in being present, protective and playful with those he loved. Devon’s life touched many; his laughter, loyalty and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
On August 2, 2026, the world lost a remarkable soul, Mr. Devon Lamar Davis, in his 31st year in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Celebration of Life for Devon will commence on Friday, August 14, 2026 at the Eleventh Hour in the most holy sanctuary of Kingdom of Faith & Deliverance COGIC, where Superintendent Millard Jones is the Gracious Host and Pastor Dr. David J. Johnson will render the Eulogy.
The Christian Committal will immediately follow the services in the Green Acres Memorial Gardens in Skiatook, Oklahoma.
