Obituary

Mr. Dewight Luwane Parker, in his 50th year, transitioned from life to everlasting from Boley, Oklahoma.

Dewight LuWayne Parker was born on August 30, 1966 in Oklahoma City, OK.  He was the second child born to Frank and Willie Mae Parker.

Dewight grew up in Boley, Oklahoma and attended Boley Elementary and Boley High School.  He was a graduate of the Boley High School Class of 1984.  At an early age Dewight developed a love for playing the drums.  He was such a good drummer that his parents invested in his talent by purchasing him a full drum set.  There was never a quiet moment in the house because he was either practicing playing on his drums or blasting the music from his boom box.  Although he no longer played the drums his drum set was one of his most prized possessions.

Dewight loved to tinker and fix things.  He would disassemble and reassemble not only his own bicycle but also his sibling's bicycles even though they were not broken.    As he grew older his love for fixing things changed from bicycles to old cars.  He bought his first car, a "1966 Chevrolet Impala" at the age of 18.  It took him years to restore the car but it was a beauty to be treasured when he finished.  Although he fixed up other old cars none of them could ever replace the love in his heart for his "1966 Chevrolet Impala".

Dewight was a loving Father, a devoted son, an awesome brother and a true friend.  He enjoyed talking to people.  If you ever had a conversation with him you probably didn't get to say much, especially if the subject was old cars.  Dewight was an easy going and kind-hearted person and would help anyone.  He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  Parents: Frank and Willie Parker (Boley OK); three sons: Deon, Keon and Demonte Parker (Enid, OK); two daughters: Brittney Parker (San Antonio, TX) and Jayden Parker (Enid, OK); one brother:  Lyndell Parker (Tulsa, OK); two sisters:  Anita Johnson (OKC, OK) and Angela Parker (Midwest City, OK); Aunts:  Clara Smith, Carolyn Parker, Ethel Summers and Nordine Tryon (Boley, OK) and Retha Mae Griffin (Edmond, OK); Uncles:  Elmer LuGrand (Boley, OK), James Tryon, Charles and Joel  Parker (OKC, OK); nieces:  Ebony Parker and Marceia Jones (OKC, OK), LaShontana Parker (Houston, TX) and Kimani Parker (Tulsa, OK); nephews:  Lyndell Parker Jr. (St. Louis, MO), Frank Parker and Jordan Reynolds (OKC, OK); and a host of other family and friends.
