How lucky are we to have known someone so amazing that saying goodbye
is so hard? Wherever this beautiful soul has been, with her infectious
smiles and unending humor, a trail of beautiful memories have followed.
As we mourn the loss of Dianna Kaye Westbrook, a loyal wife,
dedicated mother and friend, who passed away on October 19, 2025,
we are eternally grateful for the times she spent filling
our lives with her warmth and kindness.

On August 28, 1955, the world became a whole lot brighter when Dianna made her entrance. Born into the loving arms of Joe and Erma Thomas, Dianna's radiant smile quickly became a light that filled every room she entered.

As the daughter of two educators, she naturally developed a love for learning and excellence. She received her early education at Dubois Elementary and Sadler Junior High, where she formed lifelong friendships. Dianna went on to attend Muskogee High School, proudly graduating with the Class of 1973. During her time there, her beauty, grace, and talent were celebrated by her peers. She was crowned Basketball Queen, wearing the stunning dress she made herself, and served as Co-Captain of the drill team.

Following High School, Dianna continued to make her mark at Langston University. Her Christian faith anchored her steps throughout her time there, where she carried herself with quiet confidence that reflected her deep trust in God. She became a member of the Alpha Zeta Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in fall of 1974. In 1977, she completed her time at Langston where she earned her bachelor's degree in Home Economics - a perfect reflection for her creativity and eye for style.

While Langston University allowed her talents to blossom, Dianna's talents took flight after graduation, literally, when she became an international flight attendant with American Airlines. From Brazil to Chile, Tokyo to London, Paris to South Korea, she saw the world and embraced every culture she encountered, making sure to bring gifts and mementos back to the family.

Though her career took her many places, her hubs in Chicago and Dallas became home, and it was in Dallas where she met the love of her life, Charlie Westbrook. Through their union, three beautiful children were conceived, Charlie Westbrook II, Alexandrea Westbrook, and Leigh Westbrook. Dianna was an amazing mother, ensuring her children were raised with love, faith, and a strong sense of purpose. Her nurturing spirit and devotion made home a place of warmth, laughter, and inspiration.

Dianna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 28 years, Charlie; children: Charlie II, Alexandrea and Leigh; grandchildren: Avery, Elijah, and Charleigh; brother, Lee Wilbur (Rowana) Thomas; sisters, Cheryl Thomas and Bonnie (Richard) Carter; and brother, John Thomas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dianna lived a life so profound that her legacy challenges us to dream without limits, create
with purpose and trust every opportunity that God places in our path. Her light will
continue to shine through all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us,
we rejoice in knowing she rests peacefully in God's eternal embrace.
