Obituary

Dominic Lee Miller was born March 5, 1992, to the late Roy Houston and Mattie Miller in the rural community of Taft, Oklahoma. He was the second child of five children, Brandon Miller, DeAndre Miller, Kolbee Miller, and Ahmad Miller.
Dominic was baptized at an early age at Peter's Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Blackjack, Oklahoma.

He received his formal education through the Muskogee Public System and Boynton-Moton High School. After completing high school, he worked for the City of Muskogee. Dominic worked in construction with his grandfather. He did roofing, sheet rocking, painting, and mowed grass. He did anything and everything he could to make an honest living to provide for his family. Dominic married Latasha Blake and to this union graciously came Shekina'joi Miller. He later met Alicia Ousley and was blessed with Triston Lee Miller.

To pass time he loved to fish with his brother and cousins. Dominic loved to hunt rabbits and breed exotic/pocket bullies. He had a warm and compassionate heart; he was a big-hearted man and was always there for anyone in need. Dominic was an easy-going, humble, laid-back, caring, loving, independent, outgoing, and selfless person who would give you the shirt off his back. He was always willing to help, but most of all he loved spending time with family, especially through the close relationship with his mother, brothers, niece, and nephews. Dominic was a devoted, loving, nurturing, patient father to his daughter and son. He loved them so much; they were his life, and he worked hard to provide for them. Family was important to him, and this was clearly evident through his strength as a father and man.

On August 23, 2022, Dominic "traded earth for glory."

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Houston; his grandparents, Florence Norman, Oma Houston, Henry Island, Lillian Smith, and Dorothy Miller; and his uncles, Otto Norman, Gregory Smith and Brandon Houston.

Dominic leaves behind to cherish his memory: his son, Triston Miller; daughter, Shekina Joi; mother, Mattie Miller; brothers, Brandon (Shantel) Miller, Ahmad (Mariela) Miller, Kolbee Miller, and DeAndre Miller; grandparents, Roy (Debra) Smith, Winfred Norman, and Gloria Island; special lady in his life, Alicia Ousley; niece, Mailani Miller; nephews, Major Miller, King Miller, and Kaiden Miller; and a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, friends, and family.
