On December 20, 1954, Melvin and Clara Mae [Cain] Brown became the proud parents of a precious baby boy. They named him Donald Eugene Brown. He was better known as "Donnie".

Donnie began his schooling in Wybark, Oklahoma. He later attended Muskogee Public Schools and ultimately graduated in Oakland, California. From there, he joined the United States Army, where he served his country honorably. After his military service, he returned to live in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Donnie professed a hope in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and was a member of Old Agency Baptist Church.

Donnie left this life on March 19, 2006 from the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Muskogee. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clare and sister, Marilyn and Brenda Faye.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his father, Melvin Brown [Villa Mae], Oakland, California; siblings, Dennis, Kathy, Melba Jean, Melvalene [Les Sr.,] Willie [Betty], Calvin, Loretta, Melva June, Linda Kaye and a host of other relatives and dear friends, Carolyn Goss and best friend, Earl Gross.

The graveside ceremony is on Monday, March 27, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Reverend A. H. Jones, Eulogist, Rev. L. H. Smith, Sr., Officiant.
