Mr. Donald G. Connor, after 58 seasons, transitioned from life to everlasting on Tuesday night, May 4, 2010 from the Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Muskogee.
Mr. Connor was born in wilmington, North Carolina on February 6, 1952. He grew up there and also in Canoga Park, California before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma in the mid 1970's.
He served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1972. While living in Tulsa, he visited Victory Christian Center. Donald loved music, playing the guitar and singing. He possessed a great sense of humor, loved God, loved animals and wwas a giving person. He truly loved his Rottweiler, "BoBo."
He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Guinivere Holingsworth, Newport Beach, California; his brothers, Stephen Wayne Connor [Barbara], Lancaster, California and Erwin Anthony "Tony" Buschauer, Jr. [Mikki], Los Angeles, California; his sister, Linda Diane Lewis, Newport Beach, California; his nephew, Joshua Lewis; along with his beloved dog, BoBo: other family and friends.
The final hour with Mr. Connor will be on Friday, a graveside ceremony in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma at 12:00 P.M. Military Honors will be rendered following by committal and closing prayers.
