Mr. Donald Gordon Warren was born on February 19, 1946 in Clayton, New Mexico, from the loving union of Marjorie [Hill] and William R. Warren.
Don, as he was affectionately referred to by family and friends, loved to play cards and dominoes and enjoyed bowling. He won a State Domino Tournament and was presented a trophy by the Lt. Governor of Oklahoma.
Don was a kind and gentle man. He loved to cook, which was evident through his career as a cook for Waffle House for many years, as well as other restaurants. He loved the Lord and loved going to Church.
He closed his eyes on this side, but woke in Glory on Sunday, May 3, 2009 in Enid, Oklahoma. Don was preceded in death by his mom and dad, and his wife, Mary.
He leaves in God's care; two sisters, Nancy David and husband Jack, of Boise City, Oklahoma and Sue Beth Aldridge and husband Ken, Braggs, Oklahoma; a brother, Roy Warren and wife Karen, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; along with other relatives.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Bethel Baptist Church, 51st and Denison in Muskogee. Pastor Melvin "Butch" Osborn will officiate.
Mr. Warren's cremains will be placed with his parents at the Boise City Cemetery.
