" This is my story........"

Dora Dean Edwards, in her 71st year, transitioned from "Life to Everlasting" on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma after a lengthy illness.

Born on June 23, 1942 in Cascilla, Mississippi, She lived in East St. Louis, Illinois, before returning to West Memphis, Arkansas to be close to her mother, Janie B. Lewis.

Dora was a member of the North 7th Street Church of Christ in West Memphis and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Janie [Willie] Lewis and Jack Bunton; a daughter, Joann Bunton; a son, Alonzo Cortez Bunton and a grandson, Joshua Bunton.

She leaves to cherish her memory; three sons, Nathaniel Bunton, Galatin, Tennessee, Willie Bunton, Belleville, Illinoin and Tyrone Bunton, East St. Louis, Illinois; a daughter, Christine [Wren] Bunton, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a brother, Willie [Reda] Lewis, Lithonia, Georgia; four sisters, Christine Young, West Memphis, Arkansas, Janie [Robert] Coburn, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Odster Lewis and Carolyn [Kenny] Lott, Proctor, Arkansas. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Officer Funeral Home, 2114 Missouri Avenue, East St. Louis, Illinois, followed by a graveside ceremony in the Holy Cross Cemetery at Fairview Heights, Illinois.
