Mrs. Doretha C. Fenell, after 69 years with us, left this life for a life eternal from Muskogee on Thursday, February 26, 2009.

She was born on September 13, 1939, the daughter of Alpha Omega and Amanda [Mills] Crisp. Doretha accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her life showed the fruit of it. She was loving, kind and alaways giving. She taught by her life she lived.


Doretha married Johnnie Fennell, Sr., and their union was blessed with seven children and one very special step-daughter.


She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory; five daughters, LaHoma Williams, Oklahoma City, Imogene Fennell, Muskogee, Brenda Fennell [Roy], Muskogee, Aretha Brown [Lonnie], Muskogee, Lisa Fennell [Alan], Muskogee; two sons, Johnnie Fennell, Jr.[Dorothy], Muskogee, and Marvin Fennell, Muskogee; her nieces, Doretha Russell [Kenneth], San Antonio, Texas and Ruby Barker, Muskogee; a nephew, Willie Crisp, San Antonio, Texas; her grandchildren, Jason, Rochella, Pat, Ralph [deceased], Amanda, Denise, Sherita, Brittany and Alaya; her great-grandchildren, Ishmael, Saeniah, Isaac, R.J.; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The final tribute will be on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Remembrance at the funeral home in Muskogee.
