Mr. Dorse Walton, after 92 years, fell asleep in death on Tuesday morning, July 25, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Dorse was born June 30th 1925 in Sperry Oklahoma to Clarence and Louise (Ward) Walton. He served in the Navy from 1946 to 1947 did construction work until his retirement. Mr. Walton loved to talk, therefore he never met a stranger..... he had numerous stories to tell.

Dorse married Ladeen Towers on November 6th 1947. They were blessed with seven children, Four girls and three boys; Dorse Jr., Stella, Charles, Octavia, La Vera, James Tyler, and Trudy Bea.

On July 30th, 1971 he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He remained a true and faithful servant of Jehovah until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Ladeen of 51 years, and a daughter La Vera Fagan, a Grand-daughter Atlanta (Martin)Jacobs and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by;  his Sons: Dorse Walton Jr (Una )of Dallas Texas, Charles Walton (Jo Ann) of Muskogee, James Tyler Walton (Melody) of Nowata Oklahoma; his Daughters : Stella Walton Jackson(Ken) of Oklahoma City,
Octavia Jenkins of Chicago and Trudy Martin (Ron) of Tulsa Oklahoma.

Brother: James Walton of Tulsa Oklahoma. Sister: Lillie Mae Flemings of Tulsa Oklahoma. 18 grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews and cousins and other family and friends.


Funeral service for Mr. Walton will be on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Okmulgee.

Burial will follow in Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 12:00 Noon.

You may visit Mr. Walton on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the funeral home in Okmulgee.
