Douglas James Westerhouse, after 67 years, passed from this life on Nov. 22, 2009 in Muskogee. He was born on June 20, 1942 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Mr. Westerhouse worked for Whitlock Packaging Co. and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.


Mr. Westerhouse was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Sue Westerhouse, his parents, Samuel C. and Edith M. [Kinsinger] Westerhouse, his brothers, Paul and Glenn, a grandson, Hunter Douglas William Dutton, and in-laws, Lois and Gene Sours, John Denny and Jeff Denny.


He leaves behind; his wife, Luella "LuLu" Westerhouse, of the home in Muskogee; his daughter & son-in-law, Stacey and Blake Dutton; grandson, Jordan Dutton; granddaughter, Bailey Dutton, McAlester, OK; mother-in-law, Margaret Denny, Chilocothe, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Janie and Jack Evans, S.Pekin, IL; sister, Doris Whopp, Canton, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Barb Westerhouse, S. Pekin, IL; numerous other in-laws, Warren and Fannie Denny, Muskogee, Kathy and Jim Burnett, Springfield, MO, Colleen and Kenny Gipson, Peace Valley, MO, Margaret and Jack Wassom, Peoria, IL, Jackie Denny, Peoria, IL, Mary Denny, Chilocothe, IL, Rodney and Cindy Denny, Chilocothe, IL, Jerry and Barb Denny, Washington State.

Mr. Westerhouse's ashes to be placed in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
