Dwaine Curtis Adams was born on December 24, 1935 to Earnest Adams and Gladys Wilson Adams. He attended Dunbar High school in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Mr. Adams married Bobbie Kemp Adams on August 30 1957. Four children were born of this Union: Sharon, Pam, Dwaine, & Donald.
He loved his family and his community where he was a football, basketball, baseball & wrestling coach as well as Boy Scout leader to many kids in the community. Almost everyone can remember his red and white camper and his back yard was familiar to many.
Dwaine attended Macedonia Baptist Church where he was a faithful member until 1979 when he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. There he later became a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sapulpa. where he eventually became a deacon on February 15, 2004.
He had an infectious smile that could light up a whole room with a sense of humor that if you weren't smiling and laughing when you met him, you definitely would be by the time you left his presence.
Dwaine leaves behind his wife of 57 years Bobbie Adams,four children Sharon, Pam, Dwaine, & Donald. Fourteen Grandchildren Adrian, Katrina, Ashanti, Jada, Korrine, Quincey, Marshondria, Donesha, Monique, Katrina, Dwaine, Dyneeca, Sierra, Denetra. Sixteen great grandchildren Gabriel, Adrian,Chris, Aubreyana, Brian, Devyonna, Jalaya, DeLacia, Dexter, Amia, Harmonie, Lyrik,Alana, Demareon, Kevin.
Also celebrating his life is a host of nieces,nephews ,cousins and friends
Services for Mr. Dwaine Curtis Adams, Sr. will be Wednesday January 18, 2016 at 11AM at Calvary Baptist Church located at 412 N. 7th St. in Sapulpa.
Friends may visit Mr. Adams on Tuesday from 1PM to 7PM in Tulsa.
