Mr. Earl D. Baker, in his 86thyear, closed his eyes on earth for eternal rest on Saturday night, April 16, 2022 from his home in Muskogee.
The sunrise of Earl Baker was in Muskogee Oklahoma on March 24th 1936. He was the second oldest child of Ed and Ruby Baker.
Earl accepted Christ into his life at an early age got baptized and became a member of St. Thomas under the leadership of Earl Baker III. Earl received his education at Manual High School where he graduated and later enlisted in the Navy and continued his career at Nelson's Furniture. He had numerous of hobbies he enjoyed such as racing cars, fishing, hunting, shooting, camping, and many more outdoor activities. On January 10th 1956 he was joined in holy matrimony to Ruby Joyce Baker. To this Union of 53 years 5 children were born; Earl, Kathy, David, Donna, and Michael.
He was a God fearing man, but stern. He would do anything for anyone in there time of need. The sunset in Earl's 86 th season; when God seen fit to give him a rest from his labor and he gained his wings on April 16th 2022 surround by family.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Ed and Ruby Baker, his wife Ruby Baker, daughter Donna Baker, Sister Leveda, Brothers Edward Baker, James Baker, Tommy Baker and Al Collins Grandchildren Tony Baker and Kaylynn Baker
He leaves to cherish his memories and continue his legacy Earl (Barbra) Baker, of Gibson Station; Kathy Baker of Muskogee Ok; David Baker and Michael Baker Sr of Muskogee Ok (The home); Sisters Opal (Allen) Clark of Muskogee Ok and Ruby (Dewayne) Buchanan of Muskogee Ok, 20 plus grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren including 3 special ones Tru, Loyal and Leilani McDaniel that he raised as his own.
The Hour of Remembrance for Mr. Baker will commence on Saturday morning, April 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of Faith Deliverance Christian Center.
Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.
You may visit him on Friday, 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the People's Chapel.
