Edgar J. Cruz, in his 15th year, transitioned from Earth to Everlasting on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Edgar J. Cruz was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on August 15, 2003, the son of Edgar G. Cruz and Cecelia RaQuel Ortiz Lenski.

Edgar was such a kindhearted, loving boy who loved to make everyone laugh. He was a huge video gamer who always did his best to beat the game. He was lighthearted and kind and never had an attitude.

Edgar enjoyed spending time with family anytime he was able to. He was extremely loved by both his mother and father, and everyone really. He was so sweet, even though he wasn't too keen on being affectionate during the moments he lit up the room with his laugh, smile and random noises he made. Edgar was always interested in everyone's hobbies, such as games, anime, music and TV shows. He never talked back, and was an enormous snack either-he loved eating pizza and was definitely a stereotypical teenage boy but without all the bad stuff. He would often go as far as to sneak soda [specifically Dr. Pepper, which was his favorite] anytime he could while at anyone's house or out and about having fun.

What was most lovable about Edgar was he would blush from his nose and the way he would give hugs was so intimate he bubbled over with happiness by squeezing tight. He was such a smart, curious boy who wanted to learn as much as he could on mythology and science. Anytime anyone would poke fun at him, he always laughed with us and never got upset. He made such an impact on all of us, he will always be loved and remembered and we cannot wait to be reunited with him as a family in the kingdom. Edgar was never afraid to express his self and be his true self and that's the major qualities that made Edgar, Edgar. He will forever be loved and in our hearts.

A Memorial Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Iglesia Evangelica Luz Pentecostal Church, on the corner of Independence and "F" Streets in Muskogee.  Pastor Nancy Nava and Jose Nava are the Pastors.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home in Muskogee.
