Mrs. Edith Franklin, after 85 years, found peace in the valley on Sunday morning, January 29, 2006 from Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Edith was born on June 21, 1920 in Fairfield, Iowa to Hart and Ella Orms. She was the youngest of six children. At an early age, she professed her faith to the Catholic religion.
Edith moved from Iowa to Illinois in the 1930's. From Illinois, she then moved to Los Angeles, California, where the first of five children were born.
In 1964, she met and married Sam Franklin. This union was blessed with a baby girl, LaWanda. In 1970, Edith became a licensed Vocational Nurse. She worked at various hospitals in California. She and Sam also owned and operated an in-house home health care, wehre seh worked until she retired. After she retired, she and Sam moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She lived a happy and full life until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Sam.
She will be missed by all but especially by her family.

The farewell, a graveside ceremony on Thursday morning, February 2, 2006 at 11:00, in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Okmulgee.
