Edward Lee Grant II, A beloved and gentle soul, departed from this world at the tender age of 23 on December 24, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He transitioned peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that will forever be etched in our hearts.
Born on September 26, 2000, Edward Lee Grant II, better known as (Scooty) brought joy and laughter to everyone he encountered. His radiant smile could brighten the darkest of days, and his compassionate spirit touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. In his 23 years on this earth, he left an indelible mark as a beacon of love and goodness. Known for his unwavering kindness, Edward had an innate ability to make others feel valued and appreciated. Whether it was through a comforting word, a thoughtful gesture, or a simple act of generosity, he exemplified the true meaning of compassion. His gentle nature resonated with those around him, creating a sense of warmth and acceptance wherever he went.
Edward attended Preston Public School and graduated with the class of 2020. His Classmates remember him as being very passionate about spreading positivity and love and was dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. His acts of kindness were not limited to his immediate circle but extended to the broader community, leaving an enduring impact on those he encountered.
Beyond his kind heart, He was a cherished son, a loving sibling, and a loyal friend. He cultivated deep and meaningful connections with those he held dear, treasuring the bonds of family and friendship. His departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched.
Edward was preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents James Grant, Sr, and Eva Grant, an aunt Janice Grant, a brother Damien Hage, and Grandfather Kelly Dean.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving and devoted parents; father Edward Grant I and mother Anna Hage, two brothers Joseph Hage (Jill), Jeffery Edwards, A sister Shamecca Hage (Larry), Grandmother Carol Dean, and a caravan of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends that will truly miss his earthly presence.
As we mourn the loss of Edward, let us also celebrate the beautiful soul that he was. In our grief, may we find solace in the memories of his infectious laughter, his comforting presence, and the love he shared so freely. Though he may no longer be with us in the physical sense, his spirit will endure through the countless acts of kindness he inspired. Rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire love and kindness in the hearts of all who knew him.
The Hour of Remembrance for Edward II, will commence on Thursday, January 4, 2023 at the Eleventh Hour in the most holy sanctuary of Eastside Baptist Church.
The Christian Committal will immediately follow the services in the Okmulgee Cemetery in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
