Edward Lee Milton Smith was born on November 15, 1961 to Fred Smith Sr. and Lena Bell Milton in Muskogee, OK. Edward was the youngest of 13 children. Edward received his formal education through Muskogee Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1980. He worked as a chef for Muskogee Country Club from May 1985 to October 1998. Edward also worked for Muskogee Regional Medical Center for several years. Edward was an avid 49er's fan. He married Lynnell Breshers in October 1999, and from this union a lasting friendship remained.



Those welcoming his arrival in heaven include his parents, grandparents, and 5 siblings: Lestella, Arthur, Bernice, Josephine, and Fred Smith Jr. He leaves with broken hearts, while yet praising God, four brothers; Claudius Milton Sr. (Virginia), Louis Milton Sr. (Darlene) of Muskogee, Wade Milton Jr. of Oklahoma City, Lloyd Milton Sr. of Tulsa, five sisters; Pastor Opal Cartledge (Rufus), Verna Ricks of Washington D.C., Pastor Liz Richmond (Leroy), Lurene Vann (A.C.) of Muskogee, Deloris Milton of Oklahoma City, two step-children: Kyla Breshers, Anthony Breshers (Michelle), three grandchildren: Nina, Myara, and Allyson, a host of nieces and nephews, in-laws, cousins, and lifelong friends; Michael, Danny, Russell, and Shawn.

The Homegoing Celebration for Brother Edward will commence on Saturday, May 23/2015 at 11:00 AM in the Harvest Ministries, 2200 East Okmulgee Avenue in Muskogee. Pastor Lester Beasley is the gracious host and Pastor Sedell Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tabor Cemetery at Slick, Oklahoma.

You may visit Mr. Smith on Friday from 12 Noon until 6:00 PM at the funeral home in Muskogee.
