Obituary

Elaine Joyce Fuller was the second born twin of Mr. Ernest Fuller and Mrs. Louise Jefferson Fuller, born in Oakland, California on February 21, 1951.

Elaine attended school in Wewoka, Oklahoma at Douglas Elementary and Middle School, gaining a rich education and foundation for life. She graduated after the integration of schools from Wewoka High School. She received her collegiate education at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Elaine had a beautiful voice that afforded her many opportunities to travel with such groups as Up With The People, the School's Choir, 4-H, and other social groups which entered singing competitions. Later in life she would also be a member of the "Faithful Tones" Gospel Group.

Elaine accepted Christ at an early age and remained a faithful member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she was Crowned "Mother Fuller" while serving as mother of the church until her health declined early this year.

Elaine Joyce Fuller was a provider for her family! Elaine trusted and knew God as her provider, but she was not afraid to work hard and make things happen. Not just for her kids, but her mother, siblings, nieces and nephews, and anyone else that needed assistance. Elaine worked for Big Yank jean factory in Wewoka for many years until its closure. During this time, she and her lifelong friends (sisters) would sew fashionable clothes for their children, cook and celebrate life together, and travel with their families as one. When Big Yank closed Elaine went to work for Mobile Exxon until she experienced a hardship from an on-the-job injury, at which time she made the decision to go back to school. She decided she would enter the field of Business Administration, receiving her training at Wes Watkins Vo-Tech. After completion of her studies, Elaine decided to relocate her family to Norman, Oklahoma, and took a position with one of the largest banks in OKC at the time, Boatmen's Bank, in the historic downtown First National Building. This work experience opened her eyes to a whole new environment, and she didn't waste any time getting to know as much as possible in the field of land management and office administration. She worked dutifully until her mother's health began to decline, at which time she returned to be close and oversee her mother's daily needs. Elaine went to work for Huser, Huser & Lively serving as Mr. Lively's legal assistant for over 15 years. Again, she wasted no time becoming knowledgeable in the legal aspect. She became Wewoka's very own "Legal Guru". If she even heard of an injustice within the walls of the community, she would go visit with the party and offer her expert knowledge just to make sure whomever, that was dealing with whatever, knew they didn't have to settle for anything. This was done for everyone, not a certain color or religion. Elaine's last place of employment was the joy and highlight of her servant hood. THE BOWLEGS PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM!!!! She prided herself on providing a quality, nutritious, and tasty meal to the students and faculty members alike, but most of all she looked forward to hugging everyone who came through the line and lifting their spirits with her infectious smile. They were truly recognized as her family.

Elaine was truly family oriented and God's gift to us all. She made sure Tahasha and Quincy were provided the best home life, education opportunities, and foundation of love that would spill over to everyone they allowed into their lives. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were equally important to her and received the same dedication as her children. Her cousins were as close to her as her siblings, and she cherished them all respectively. Although she was the birth mother of Tahasha and Quincy, she was a nurturer to so many more. She had two special sons that she claimed as her own, Gregory Beavers, Sr., and Steven Graham. There were many more that she gave her love to
in their own individual way, too many to count or list, but they are here and their memories are just as important!

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Fuller and Louise Fuller, twin brother, Jerry Fuller, and older brothers, John Douglas Bruner and Howard Hutchinson.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Tahasha (Von) Wilcots; son, Quincy Chandler (Kecia); grandchildren, Akia, Ashley, and Isaiah (Emily); great-grandchildren, Amari, Tristan, and Ivy; sisters, Shirley Walker of Georgia and Jacki Brison of Oklahoma City, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who loved her dearly and she loved them in her own unique way.
