On February 11, 1978, Robert and Darlene Scott were blessed with their second child in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was giben the name Elitha Rochelle Scott.
She grew up and attended school in Muskogee Public School system, and after completing her education, she completed two years at Oklahoma State Technical School in Okmulgee and earned her certificate in Dietetic Nutrition.
Elitha was baptized at an early age by Reverend Vanzelen Brown at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She served faithfully and was a lifelong member there. Despite her illnesses throughout her life, she was committed to the Youth Ministry, Women's Fellowship and the Usher Ministry, as well as anywhere else she was needed.
Although she had no children of her own, she found joy in touching the lives of those she came to know. Wanting to serve, she carried it over to those nearest and dearest to her, always knowing what to say or do to add that extra "ray of sunshine" to a person's day.
In her 42nd season of life, on Friday, April 17, 2020, after five months in the hospital, God called her to her heavenly home. Elitha was preceded in death by her father, Robert Scott, her grandparents, Lonnie and Eola Akinson, and Inez Taylor, her Uncle, Reverend William Parker, her Aunt, Elrita Atkinson Brown, and her Great-niece, Gianna Shumate.
She leaves in God's care: her mother, Darlene F. Scott; her brother, Marcus Scott; her aunts, Deborah Atkinson and Lonnita Atkinson; her uncles, Marvin Shumate, Lawrence Scott, and Donnie Scott; her niece, Morgan Scott; her nephew, Marcus Scott, Jr.; her great-nephew, Lathon Ogot; her cousins, Richard (Tonya) Atkinson, Javonne Shumate, David Atkinson, Carmell (Chris) Best; Derrick Hill, David Atkinson, Jr., Jonathan Atkinson, Micaela Atkinson, Crystal Best, Christopher Best, Carlee Best, Maurice Jones, Harold Martin, Donald Martin, Jeffrey Martin and Kim Martin; a host of other relatives, and church family; and special friends, Reverend Michael and Quiana Nicholson and children and Mrs. Bernice Walker and Barbara Gladney and Family.
