In the summer of 1924, Eb and Iler [Weathers] Fisher were blessed with a new daughter in San Augustine, Texas on the 15th day of July. They named her Ella Louise Fisher.
She grew up and attended school in San Augustine, where she graduated from San Augustine High School. At a young and impressionable age, he accepted Christ into her life.
Louise moved to Muskogee in 1942 to live with her father and her sister. In Muskogee, she joined Macedonia Baptist Church under Pastor Hardy. She served the Lord at Macedonia , where she was active in Mission Circle #4 at Macedonia. She was married to Lincoln Fields and their union was blessed with two children.
She was active in her community, Reeves addition, where she enjoyed gardening. She also worked as a Domestic Technician and also a cook for the Kasier and Olgesbee Family and Charlie Wright Cafe. She nurtured not only her own children, but the children in the families that she was dedicated and loyal to, most of whom all considered her family.
In her 85th Season, Ella Louise Fisher-Fields "left her Earthly Tabernacle" on Sunday morning, March 28, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter, Kathryn, a sister, Marlia Z. Fisher, and her brothers, Noble Ross Ferguson and Clifton Fisher.
Those that wait on the Lord; her daughter, Jackie D. Fields Stanford, both of Muskogee; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Stanford Jr. [Cynthia], Sherita Stanford, Jack Charles Fields, Kathryn Fields, Marchello Fields; great-grandchildren, Andre, Alexis, Maurice, Jacob, Kmaurie, Andre Jr., Alize'; along with other family and dear friends, just like family that will cherish her beautiful memory. Her grandson, Nathaniel Jr., was knicknamed "Pride & Joy", as he was her first grandchild. She was close to all of her family and will be dearly missed.
Service of Memory will be on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Macedonia Baptist Church. Rev. Larry H. Smith, Sr., Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery.
