Mr. Ellis Walker, Sr., in his 99th Season, surrendered his Soul on May 18, 2006 from Muskogee. Mr. Walker was born in Porter, OK on May 25, 1906, the son of Dave and Edmonia Walker.

Lamenting his passing; a loving wife, Carrie Walker; 7 children, Carletha hunt, Cleveland, OH, Lillie Hunt-Wright [James], Atlanta, GA, W.C. [Carol], Porter, OK, Betty Walker-Morrison, Warrensville, OH, Alex [Sharon] Walker, Muskogee, Ellis Walker, Jr., [Loretta], Pickerington, OH and Dave Walker [Debra], Oxford, AL; an adopted son, Charles Mason; a sister, Willie Tolber, McAlester, OK; 3 sisters-in-law, Beatrice Carter, Porter, OK, Viola Hyche and Famey Hyche, both of Cleveland, OH; a brother-in-law, Frazier Hyche; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a caravan of other relatives and friends.

The final hour with Mr. Walker will begin on Friday, May 26, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with a Wake and Visitation followed by the funeral service beginning at 2:30 PM in the Sanctuary of the St. Mark Baptist Church. Rev. Anthony L. Scott, Sr., is the gracious host Pastor and Elder Ellis Walker, Jr., will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Tullahassee, OK.
